Velo Cross Chain Bridge Update — reissuing Binance Smart Chain format VELO Tokens

If you utilized the Velo Cross Chain Bridge, or participated in Definix or EVRY staking please continue reading. If not, you can ignore the following announcement which does not impact the vast majority of Velo token holders, who have VELO tokens on centralized exchanges or in Stellar wallets.

In order to increase interoperability between BSC tokens, we have created a new VELO token on Binance Smart Chain that includes a 18 decimal variable. As a result, we must void the existing Binance Smart Chain format VELO token, which launched with a decimal variable of only 5 digits.

This change will future proof the support of VELO tokens within the Binance Smart Chain ecosystem by simplifying programming and improving usability.

To reiterate, this variable change has no impact on the Stellar format VELO tokens, which are VELO tokens held on Centralized exchanges or in Stellar wallets.

For any users who have VELO in a BSC wallet, or have staked BSC format Velo with Definix or EVRY, please contact support@velo.org to swap for the new BSC based Velo tokens. We require no personal information, we simply need your public BSC wallet address. Our support team will respond with the next steps.
